ALICIA ENSTROM – Fall

FALL, by composer and violinist Alicia Enstrom, creates a soundscape of violins, felt piano and more to explore the changing seasons, gravity, loops and cycles. Watch the premiere performance, learn more about the work, and get to know Alicia before engaging in some fun activities like a Fall soundscape walk, leaf x-rays and leaf wreaths.

Create and Make: Leaf Wreaths

Find leaves that have fallen, gather them together in a “loop”, a “wreath” of cardboard with holes, and layering together for something to keep enjoying.

Dig Deeper: Leaf X-Rays

By rubbing a crayon over a paper on top of a leaf's back, you can see the structure/architecture of the leaf revealed like an X-ray of our own bodies.
